Bradford is a historic city, once the wealthy centre of the UK textile industry. It is now a multicultural, cosmopolitan tourist city. Bradford is home to the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. It also has world-class theatres, music, restaurants with food from all over the world, excellent cinemas and sports facilities. It is one of the least expensive cities in the UK.
The square in front of the beautiful town hall has a variety of events - from cricket in the city, to ice skating in winter. Each June, the city has a major festival when international entertainers and crafts people visit us.
We are also close to some of the most magnificent countryside in the UK, such as Haworth (the home of the Bronte sisters), Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales.
