Description
The Sheffield College offers full-time General English (September to June), a Pre-Sessional English Course during July and August, International Foundation Year in Business and Communication Studies plus a wide range of academic and vocational courses for students from the age of 16. The College has excellent facilities - learning centre, library, 2 hours per day free internet access, fitness suite and a full accommodation/welfare service is available within the International Office.

A General English course, with IELTS Preparation is offered for the Summer term
Students may join the course for the whole 8 weeks, or enrol for a minimum of 2 weeks.
All students take an assessment test and are then placed in a class most appropriate for their level of English.

English for Academic Purposes
Online IELTS Preparation -

Price includes:
- A UK native English speaking tutor, who contacts you online two to three times a week and marks all of your work, providing invaluable, detailed feedback
- One-to-one practice mock speaking IELTS test with your tutor, either face to face or via a web camera
The IELTS Preparation course is for students who can already speak and understand English quite well. It is designed to enable students to achieve a good standard of English and is aimed at achieving at least a 6.5 IELTS score. It assumes that you can already communicate quite well in English, though you may make grammatical errors or misunderstand some things. It is designed to take competent users to the next level of competency or to prepare good speakers of English for the IELTS test.

This is a Level III course. Upon successful completion, students will have a guaranteed place at Sheffield Hallam University, or may apply to a University of their choice.
