Open to all....'Walk and Talk' on some of the most beautiful paths in the world. In 2008 The Lake District was voted 'the best holiday destination in the UK' by the British public at the largest travel awards programme in the UK. Although just 40 miles long and 23 miles across, the Lake District is home to some of the most stunning countryside in the world including all of England's highest mountains and longest lakes. This course is designed for people looking for an opportunity to practise their English, enjoy interesting conversation, study a little, and enjoy the benefits of our complementary health programme to the full! It is fully residential here at Nab Cottage. The location is perfect, overlooking a small lake and surrounded by mountains. The walks, in all directions, are wonderful. The food is largely organic and vegetarian.
Small group classes for 15 hours a week with the emphasis on conversation, and a full complementary health programme which includes guided walks, hatha yoga sessions, relaxation classes and massage workshops. No previous experience neccessary.

All students on this programme use only English all day and every day and begin thinking in English within days.

Nab Cottage is a family, a language school , and a small international community - all in one. On our courses you will only hear English - and be able to speak in English - all day and every day. Each course is fully residential, living with the other students and teachers. The programme is always varied and rewarding and will include:

This course is ideal for adults who want an intensive residential course, spending 25 hours a week doing our small group General English programme and 10 hours one to one. Nab Cottage is a family, a language school and a small international community - all in one. There are a maximum of 20 students on our programme at any time; this means that everyone has a lot of individual attention and much interaction in English. All students on our courses speak and hear only English, all day and every day.

This programme is designed for closed groups of 2-6 trainees. It is fully residential and gives maximum contact with Liz and Tim and our team of facilitators. The training involves:
