The Summer Course is designed for students who want a serious but enjoyable English course. York is a great place to spend a few weeks in the summer and Melton College offers the ideal location.

The Gold Course, which lasts for 1, 2 or 3 weeks is open to anyone over the age of 50 who wants to spend time in the company of like-minded adults. The course offers a blend of English lessons, social activities, visits and excursions.

Accommodation
- Homestay
- The vast majority of our students stay in homestay accommodation. This provides students with breakfast and dinner (Monday to Friday) and breakfast, lunch and dinner at weekends. For students aged 18 and over, accommodation is charged at £110.25 per week. For students aged under 18, accommodation is charged at £165.00 per week and includes lunch all week, a bus pass and airport transfers or shuttles. Students on our Gold Course (50years +) pay £150.00 per week, which includes airport transfers or shuttles and a farewell dinner. Single room for students over 18 (unless otherwise requested). Students under 18 may be in a shared room. Many hosts have more than one room and take more than one student. Booking is from 12.00 Saturday to 12.00 Saturday - there is no reduction for late arrival and extra days will be charged.

Social Programme
We provide a full social programme, all year. There is a small charge for some activities but the main programme is free during the Summer Term. Excursions are arranged all year and take place every week during the Summer Term. Summer Term excursions are included in the tuition fee.
