The Summer English Study Programme (SESP) is a full-time pre-sessional English language course for international students, which runs for 11 weeks over the summer. It is designed to improve your skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking and to develop your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The programme is aimed at students who intend to progress onto university programmes at Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate level.

The SESP will give you experience of studying at a university in the UK, it will also help you to settle into a different culture and a different language before you start an academic programme at the University of Salford or at any other university in the UK. The programme even includes organised trips and social events to help you make the most of your free-time.

If you successfully complete the Summer English Study Programme at a high enough level the University of Salford will accept this as evidence of your English language ability .
