ELTC offers a range of English language courses throughout the year for both short and longer periods of study. Our courses are taught by highly qualified, experienced teachers. We also offer teacher training courses and language support services to students studying at the Unversity.
ELTC is part of the University of Sheffield and has high professional standards combined with a friendly atmosphere. ELTC has its own classrooms and resources areas, and students have full access to the University's excellent facilities. ELTC is situated a short distance from Sheffield city centre. PTLLS (ESOL) is a 6-credit award designed to provide teachers with initial preparation to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
Our PTLLS (ESOL) award is accredited by the OCR exam board.
The PTLLS (ESOL) programme at the ELTC aims to give trainees a good base from which to progress on to further qualifications, volunteer or gain initial employment in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
