Welcome to the English Language Centre in the beautiful historic city of York! The ELC occupies an historic Georgian Town House built in 1750, within the 700 year-old city walls. A small school, we happily have a famously friendly touch. We offer courses to suit everyone - General English, Adult and Junior Summer Courses, Cambridge Examinations, One-to-one, Teachers' Refreshers, plus CELTA/DELTA. Our teaching team are well-qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic. Above all, they will take a friendly interest in you and your studies. We look forward to meeting you here in York!

We offer a year-round programme of General English courses, intended for students who wish to improve their English for personal and professional purposes. The course features a combination of general language improvement and communication skills work.
