Description
We offer competitively-priced general and academic English study programmes, including a Summer English Study Programme with full social programme, an International Foundation Year which attracts over 250 students a year and tailor-made provision for specific groups such as non-native English speaking academics. The School also provides the EFL teaching on the Graduate Diploma of Management and English run by Salford Business School. The EFL teaching is provided by lecturers with considerable experience of teaching in Britain and abroad and is accredited by the British Council so you can be sure of a high quality programme. In addition to preparatory and access programmes we also offer EFL on many of our undergraduate modern foreign language programmes and a range of masters programmes in TESOL and Applied Linguistics. Academic research is another important area of activity in EFL where staff have specialist research interests in second-language acquisition and computer-assisted language learning and supervise doctoral research. The School also has a long and proud tradition of academic excellence and in the last two research assessment exercises languages and linguistics submissions scored a top grade of 5.

This three-week intensive English programme is for international students who are joining courses in Salford Business School, but who have not achieved the School's normal entry requirements of IELTS 6.5 for postgraduate students and IELTS 6.0 for undergraduate students.
