Welcome to the English Language Centre in the beautiful historic city of York! The ELC occupies an historic Georgian Town House built in 1750, within the 700 year-old city walls. A small school, we happily have a famously friendly touch. We offer courses to suit everyone - General English, Adult and Junior Summer Courses, Cambridge Examinations, One-to-one, Teachers' Refreshers, plus CELTA/DELTA. Our teaching team are well-qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic. Above all, they will take a friendly interest in you and your studies. We look forward to meeting you here in York!

The course features a combination of general language improvement and communication skills work. The focus is on improving grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, as well as developing the 4 key skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
